Welcome from the Nutrition Group! We enjoy serving our students healthy meals throughout the school year. We’ve been refining and improving our students' favorite foods they have come to love, and also creating delicious, exciting, new chef-inspired meals that we can’t wait to share with everyone. We know you have tough decisions to make every day. Let us help by providing school lunch for your children. There are multiple advantages:

SAVE MONEY – For the 2024-25 school year, breakfast is free for all students regardless of income and lunch meals at every school cost only $2.65 a day or a total of $453 for the school year. If you qualify for reduced-price lunches through the National School Lunch Program, lunches are also free this year! To be eligible for free lunch meals, families need to complete an application unless they participate in a qualified benefits program (e.g., SNAP, TANF, or certain Medical Assistance). A qualified application may provide additional federal program benefits. If your student doesn't qualify for reduced-price lunches, pay ahead for their meals using My School Bucks.

VARIETY – No more guessing what your child will be hungry for at breakfast or lunch. Students can choose from multiple options on the serving line every day including hot and cold meals and expanded vegetarian options. Download the Nutrislice app to your phone for the fastest and easiest way to view breakfast and lunch choices and nutrition information!

BALANCED NUTRITION – School meals are nutritious and are based on USDA guidelines.

SAVE TIME – No more morning rush to serve breakfast or pack lunch!

If your child has specific needs or allergy concerns, please complete the Medical Plan of Care Form and return it to the school office.

About the Nutrition Group

About The Nutrition Group

The Nutrition Group, School Food Service provider offers a variety of food services to Wissahickon School District, including the provision of school lunches for all schools in compliance with the National School Lunch Program. The Nutrition Group also provides catered events and special event food services. The Nutrition Group’s goal is to meet and exceed every client’s expectations every day. “We are the company that does what we say we are going to do.”

Nutritious free meals are available for children and teens 18 and younger at many locations throughout the nation throughout the summer while school is out of session. Use the mapping tool below to find a site near you. New sites will be added as the school year ends and throughout the summer. Please check back often for updated information.

Starting in school year 2014-15, all foods sold at school during the school day are required to meet nutrition standards. Meal Payments: My School Bucks

My School Bucks

For the 2023-24 school year, lunch meals at every school cost $2.65 or a total of $453 for the school year. Breakfast and lunch is $700 for the school year.

The Wissahickon School District uses My School Bucks to provide families the option of making online payments for school lunches and providing parents with their child's cafeteria purchase history. Please click on the link below to log on or to sign up today for a new account.

If you have an existing MySchoolBucks account, log in to MySchoolBucks and go to the School Store and select the fee or product that you wish to purchase. Please note there is a 3.95% fee on each transaction. Learn more in the School Store Parent Guide.

Enrollment is easy!

If you do not have an account with MySchool Bucks:

Go to MySchoolBucks and register for a free account.
You will receive a confirmation email with a link to activate your account.
Add your students using their school name and student ID (have the ID numbers handy when you log in).
Make a payment to your students’ accounts with your credit/debit card or electronic check. There is a 3.95% fee per transaction. You will have the opportunity to review any fees and cancel if you choose, before you are charged.

Summer Food Service Program

The Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 provides for free meals for students over the summer months through the Summer Food Service Program. Families can use any of the following methods to locate sites that serve free meals to children during the summer.
