Mrs. Beth Bauer began her tenure as the principal at Wissahickon Middle School in 2015, after serving as Shady Grove Elementary School’s principal for a number of years. After spending 25 years in elementary education, both as a classroom teacher and school principal, Mrs. Bauer has acclimated herself to middle school life and enjoys the middle school student age group.

Mrs. Bauer holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from Millersville University, M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Villanova University, and Elementary and Secondary School Principal Certification from Villanova University. She came to the Wissahickon School District in 2002 as the principal of Shady Grove Elementary School.

Being a part of the Wissahickon Middle School community is terrific! In addition to all of the learning opportunities taking place in grades 6, 7 and 8, there are so many other great things happening at WMS. Our staff understands the importance of establishing and maintaining positive relationships with students and everyone has a very student-centered approach to teaching and learning.
