Wissahickon Girls Soccer
This program began in 1994 and has been on the rise ever since.  My relationship began as a junior varsity coach in 1995 and in 1997, I became the varsity head coach.  Over the last nine years, our program has made great strides.

Last year, we finished 17-3-1, advancing to the District Playoffs for the fifth consecutive year. We beat H-H 3-0 and then lost to the eventual State-Runner up CR South, 2-0. In 2004 we ended 17-2-2, and made a run into the district semi-finals for the first time. (It seems like we face CR South every year as they won 4-0.)  The future looks extremely bright as the dedication seen in these players is as strong as their playing levels. It also helps that players throughout WMS have shown the ability to play at higher and higher levels creating high levels of play for me to coach at WHS. (Many times throughout the year sessions are held for all secondary players [grades 7th to 12th] to attend and play.)

Wissahickon Boys Soccer
For the last few years, the boys program at Wissahickon has been quite competitive.  The reason for that has been a combination of talented, dedicated players and a cooperation between the WMS coaches and the WHS coaches, not to mention skill development through various club programs.  These connections have developed a strong history of players progressing through the WHS soccer system.  Players in seventh grade begin to see aspects of the program, moving through each of the teams; 8th grade, 9th grade, Junior Varsity, and finally the Varsity Team.  At each level, the players learn new aspects of the program, therefore culminating when reaching the varsity team.  Aspects of the program include player development in the following areas; technical, tactical, physical, and psychological.

The 2005 Varsity team is lead by Dr. Stuart Malcolm.  Under his leadership, the team won the Suburban I - Freedom Division during the 1998,1999, 2000, 2001 2002,and 2003 years.  In 1999 and 2003 the team finished 3rd in District I, advancing to the state playoffs for the first time.
