Course Description

Honors Geometry is taught at WMS utilizing an interactive approach.  This is a full year Mathematics course intended for students who have shown a high level of success in Algebra I. Students are introduced to various concepts including:  
  • Geometry in Nature
  • Geometric Sequence
  • Constructions
  • Line and Angle Properties
  • Triangle Properties
  • Polygon
  • Circles
  • Area
  • Pythagorean Theorem
  • Volume
  • Similarity
  • Trigonometry
  • Geometric Proofs

 

It is highly recommended that all students are supplied with their own compass, protractor, straightedge, and calculator !
