WISSAHICKON MIDDLE SCHOOL

SCHOOL SECURITY

• Wissahickon Middle School will be locked at 3:30 P.M.
• Side doors are locked throughout the day.
• Any staff member exiting the building through side doors should check to see that doors close and are locked.
• Any students remaining after school should be monitored and escorted to the late bus.
• The staff should lock their doors during the day if they are not in their rooms.
• Custodians should unlock rooms to clean and then lock rooms again.
• Staff – high school students are not admitted to the school unless they have prior approval.
• Middle school students should leave the school at dismissal.

SPORTS SECURITY

• The lobby gym doors and stairwell doors in that area will be locked at 3:00 P.M.
• No access to the main part of the school is permitted after 3:00 P.M.
• Teachers who see students in the school are to get their names and report them to the office.
• After school clubs and activities are to monitor students and escort them to the late bus.
• No propping of doors in the athletic complex should occur.
• Coaches should only use doors exiting the new gym lobby. All other exterior doors will be locked.
• Locker rooms must be locked. (Check that all students are out of locker rooms.)
• Valuables should be locked in the coach’s office.
• The bathrooms in the main gym lobby are available for use.
• Water for teams must be obtained prior to 3:00 P.M.
• Wissahickon Middle School Athletic Director will notify visiting teams of facility procedures – such as access to bathrooms.
