Math Scope and
Sequence at Wissahickon Middle School
Please make note of the following as it relates to the middle school math program. No student will move to Algebra without completing the Pre-Algebra course. Therefore, the pre-requisite to Algebra is Pre-Algebra.
Students should be able to think mathematically, organize their information, clarify responses, reflect on their work and be exposed to mathematical understanding that strategizes, predicts, and can be proven.
It is important that students and parents alike understand the math scope and sequence for the middle school math placements.
