Dear Parents/Guardians and Students:
Please be advised of the following guidelines regarding
the 8th Grade Dance on May 18th.
General
Safety Guidelines for WMS
Grade 8
School Dance
ü
No one leaves early unless
picked-up by a parent. A written notification
is needed and a principal will escort them outside.
ü
No mosh pit, pushing
& shoving – safety overrides all other concerns.
ü
No standing on chairs or
being carried around on someone’s shoulders.
ü
Current Wissahickon 8th graders only – other
students will not be admitted.
ü
Obviously no smoking,
alcohol or weapons – school rules are in effect in this regard.
ü
No open displays of
affection.
ü
The theme is “Hollywood
Lights” so dressy casual attire that reflects that notion is acceptable. Shorts are not allowed. Please note this is not a formal or a
prom. (See Dress Code in Parent/Student Handbook)
ü
Doors open at 7:30 PM.
ü
Parent/Guardian drop off
at the pool door no later than 8:00 PM.
ü
Parent/Guardian pick up at
the pool door no later than 10:00 PM.
ü
Students may not wander in
school. Students are confined to cafeteria.
ü
No students may arrive
on bikes, scooters, rollerblades or skateboards.
